BOOK DRIVE

When children feel represented, their Hopes, Dreams, and Goals fee attainable. Join us as we kick off Jump at the Sun Literacy Campaign; with a reading from Author Alicia D. Williams and guest appearance from Illustrator Jacqueline Alcantara. We will also be discussing representative literature, the importance of Multicultural infusion in WS/FCS, and hear from teachers personal experiences with representative curriculum.

KICK OFF EVENT

Provide every WS/FC school with a copy of each book that its teachers need to successfully teach lessons that are infused with inclusive histories and cultural stories.

OUR GOAL

The Jump at the Sun Book Drive is a grassroots, community collaborative initiative among Action4Equity, Bookmarks, Triad Cultural Arts, Read Write Spell, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. Winston-Salem Alumnae Chapter, and the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools.
